East Lothian Single Outcome Agreement 2009

East Lothian Community Planning partners have agreed priorities for East Lothian, a set of local outcomes or changes we want to achieve for our communities and environment and what we will do together to make this happen.
This is the plan for the future of East Lothian, which all partners contribute to. It is called the East Lothian Single Outcome Agreement (SOA) 2009. Here is the SOA document (PDF 3.3Mb) and this is a very short 'snapshot' version of the SOA (PDF 220Kb) - please contact us for printed copies. The SOA shows the way partners' plans and strategies link together.
The key themes in the SOA are:
We want to be sure that the SOA improves equality in East Lothian. We carried out an Equalities Impact Assessment (PDF 111Kb) on the SOA, which found no negative impacts. There is also a Community Engagement Strategy for 2007-10 (PDF 500Kb) to help us improve the way we work together.
The SOA 2009 was developed by SOA theme groups, in discussion with the Community Planning Board. It was approved by partner organisations and signed off by the East Lothian Community Planning Partnership on the 22 May and then with the Scottish Government on 27 July 2009. This SOA is for two years and work on the next one will begin towards the end of 2010.
Partnership action to achieve the SOA outcomes
The SOA theme groups aim to achieve the outcomes in the SOA by working together to a set of action plans, which are called logic models. Each outcome has an action plan, which shows the activities members of the group have agreed to carry out to achieve it.
The SOA theme groups meet regularly to check progress and update their action plan. They report quarterly to the Community Planning Board [Meetings and Papers] as well as to the partnership groups in their area and to member organisations.
East Lothian Performs demonstrates how we are progressing towards achieving the outcomes set out in the Single Outcome Agreement 2009.
